Final conference

TALKING ABOUT SEXUAL VIOLENCE AGAINST CHILDREN
Final conference on the FIRST project
11.05.2021, 9.30 - 13.00, zoom platform

Talking about sexual abuse of children is a challenge that continues to provoke the public in different countries. It must be conducted at various levels, from politics, through investigation, punishment and victim prevention and support services, to communities and families. The participants are politicians, managers, academia, magistrates, human rights activists, professionals from various fields, parents, children.

We, from the Right to Childhood Foundation, addressed the need to start this conversation through the FIRST project, which we, together with our partners, have been implementing for the last two and a half years. Through it we provided legal and therapeutic services to children and families in 7 Bulgarian cities, created a platform for anonymous and remote reporting of cases of sexual violence against children, created an interactive website containing information on the topic, provided in formats suitable for children, parents and professionals

We have also published author's books for parents and their children, which in an accessible language send basic messages to children related to their safety. For professionals, we have developed a digital training platform for managers, which prepares them to create a sexual violence-free environment in the activities, services and institutions they manage.

In the final event of the project we invite interested parties and anyone who feels a participant in the topic of sexual abuse of children! The conference will take place on 11.05.2021, from 9.30 to 13.00 EET in the zoom platform. Pre-registration is required, which you can do here.
